Born in Milan (Italy) in 1982, first son of a Sicilian painter (ex-Jazz musician) L. started his relationship with music, breathing his father’s collection of Motown and Blue Note records, and at the age of 8, he joined the local Church Choir. Though his musical sensitivity was already proved, the interest for visual arts was more explicit so he studied Fine Arts to develop his impressive skills as a young painter and sculptor. “Music was more like a private passion, singing was a pure device to express my instinctive feelings, Fine Arts where for me the natural way to describe concepts of the philosophies that I was beginning to explore” It was after moving to London by him self, that music took his spirit completely and became the absolute priority. His decision was to concentrate the whole artistic energy, improving his gift by learning to play Piano, Guitar and Bass. The first two songs that he recorded, attracted a few important offers from different Major Labels, but they all wanted to pull him into the role of a Pop R’n’B Act, inevitably, Luca’s deep artistic integrity made him refuse those offers. The situation was complicated, until he signed a short deal with an Independent Label who got him in a successful Compilation that went number one in the charts , and sold over 700.000 copies. An intense musical research extended his performances to New York City, where he begun to create the first album, composed, written, produced and performed by himself. In the last years, after joining several groups like the “Harlem Gospel Choir” (Harlem Messengers), the “ Conjectures Jazz Quartet”, and the “Funky Mutiny“, L. participated to various music festivals, and a few moths ago he was called to sing for the Sound Track of an upcoming Hollywood Movie. Lately he has been producing tracks for other artists, but at the moment as well as performing live around the globe, Luca is working on his new studio projects.
